Invalid Sample Rate (Lost Signal?) This error occurs when the vBox timestamp sample rate changes while in the middle of a performance test.  vBoxTools supports sample rates from 5 Hz to 100 Hz.  The sample rate is calculated from the data timestamps by calculating the time between data samples.  The timestamps do occasionally stop and start.  This can happen when the vehicle stops and then starts.  It can also happen when travelling in a tunnel, mountainous area, or heavily wooded area where the vBox cannot obtain a satellite signal.  If the sample rate changes outside of a performance test, then no error occurs.  0x00000001
Lost Signal This error occurs when the vBox satellite counter equals zero.  The vBox keeps track of how many satellites it is currently receiving.  If the vBox cannot communicate with any satellites, then satellite signal is lost and this error is triggered. 0x00000002
Excessive Slope This error occurs when the slope of the test exceeds the maximum allowed.  All tests have a maximum allowable slope.  The vBox GPS keeps track of elevation for every sample.  Slope is calculated as the ratio of Elevation-Change to Distance.  The slope formula is:  (ElevationEnd - ElevationStart) / Distance.  If this value exceeds the maximum allowed, then an error is triggered. 0x00000004
Excessive Partial Slope This error occurs when the slope in the middle of a performance test exceeds the maximum allowed.  One advantage of vBoxTools is the ability to run these extra "intermediate test" checks as a sanity check for valid data.  When the number of satellites received changes in the middle of a test, sometimes the slope can change by 2-meters or more between samples (6+ feet).  Sometimes this works to the car owner's advantage, but other times it does not.  It's very difficult to check for intermediate slope on any tests that start at 0-MPH.  For this reason, intermediate slope calculations are disabled for all distance tests and most tests that start at 0-MPH.  Calculating intermediate slope is a little more complicated because the distance is calculated between two consecutive samples.  But other than this complication, the slope calculation is the same.  The intermediate slope is calculated as the ratio of Elevation-Change to distance, but instead of calculating from the beginning to the end of the test, it is calculated between two consecutive samples. 0x00000008
Unreliable Height Data This error can only occur when the intermediate slope exceeds the maximum allowed AND the number of satellite reception changes. 0x00000010
Excessive G-Force This error occurs when the G-Force during the test exceeds a normal value.  This acts as another sanity test for the data.  If the G-Force during the performance test exceeds +/- 12.0 G's, then this error is triggered.  12.0 G's is enough to kill you. 0x00000020
Bad CRC in data file This error occurs when there is an inconsistency in the data found in the file.  Each data sample contains a CRC which helps authenticate the accuracy and validity of the file.  If the CRC found in the file doesn't match the one I calculate, then this error is returned. 0x00000040
